Alpaca has unique thermal properties due to microscopic air bubbles found inside the hair. These bubbles allow the user to “breath” through the fibres on hot days and in much the same way, to retain body head in cold climates. Alpaca is naturally fire resistant; it does not melt when burned and is a naturally renewable resource. Alpaca is the 2^nd strongest natural fibre coming in second only to silk so you will get many years of use from alpaca products.
